NAPA Webinar: MARPOL record-keeping and NAPA Logbook
The future of record-keeping is electronic.
From a regulatory standpoint, IMO amendments to MARPOL Annexes have in 2020 permitted the use of electronic record books instead of hard copy records. With the regulatory change set to reduce risk of error, increase the retention of record-keeping and save up to 78% of a crew’s administrative time, the switch is one that is very much necessary to end the administrative burden typically associated with paper record keeping.
Development Director of NAPA Safety Solutions, Tommi Vihavainen and Senior Product Manager Jussi Siltanen run a webinar in which they provided a unique insight into the technical capabilities of NAPA Logbook through performing a real-time demonstration, followed by an interactive Q&A. The team also discussed the regulation, as well as time and data efficiencies, associated with electronic logbooks. The recording of the webinar is now available.
As the world’s leading provider of electronic logbooks, NAPA Logbook has more than a decade’s service onboard vessels serving more than 8,000 users and is approved by more than 20 major flag states, including the Bahamas, Marshall Islands, Panama, Malta and Singapore.
